"I was one of the five sitting on the benches waiting for our turn to be on court. No, do not get me wrong.
We were the second stringers that were as important as the first stringers. When the first stringers got tired and exhausted, it would be the time for us to step into the court to support them, maintain the standard of the match, and continue to score! Yes.
Second stringers like us are important. I used to think otherwise but now, as I reflect upon it, I would tell myself: "No, Deborah, you are important in the team. You are part of the team. When half time comes, you will be the first one who would fetch the towel and water for the players! You are the one, along with the other second stringers, to make sure that the welfare of the first stringers is taken care of. You are in and are part of the team. You are important.Okay, you may say I am comforting myself and boosting my own confidence. Yes, you are right! In my opinion, no matter how strong the athletes are, they need encouragement. They must perform to their fullest potential, stretch themselves and this is definitely part of the sportsmanship.Isn't it? To be an athlete, you must be sporting enough to be able to handle criticisms that are for your own benefit, endure the training to prepare for the competitions that you're so passionate about. As a Chinese saying goes, "With three minutes of performance on stage, you need to prepare for it ten years backstage."
Be courageous, dare to live our dreams."I really felt it meaningful!^^ and just wish to add on that nobody's really useless nor lousy.. supposedly everyone heard of this maxim:
chi de ku zhong ku,
fang wei ren shang ren
only he who can eat the bitter of the bitter,
can become man above men.
CAN YOU? =Dokay! I really hope nobody goes about that they're not given the chance and all those again lah
T_T I mean, I'm also one of those weak ones.. but I never felt this way ever since quite some time ago?? sometimes we really should reflect and think if we're worthy of those chances....
before we argue about fairness or not, ask ourselves if we deserve them! anyhow, I believe that every single one of us can make it to improve for the better. it's fully on whether we want to anot.. if we're in this team, it shows that we have what it takes. JIAYOU PLEASEEEEE =)))
and, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE CUTEST + PIGG-EST IN THE TEAM =DKELLY, SHENG RI KUAI LE [:#15
